Rachel Rasmussen

Rachel Rasmussen’s Art work depicts the beauty she perceives from the luscious Welsh landscapes to the vibrant blues of the coastline. Her paintings summon up nostalgic childhood memories of treasured spots to modern day newly appreciated areas of Wales. She revisits and then reinvents the coastlines as they change with the tides, times and seasons. Her work is a tribute to the true Welsh countryside she knows so well.
Rachel, who was born and brought up in Tenby, always enjoyed creating art alongside her studies within the performing arts. Now married and a mother of three young children, she lives in Cardiff. As well as being a fulltime mother, Rachel spends evenings painting. Rachel is now an accomplished artist and teaches art classes in Cardiff.
